Implementation Services

The aim of Symmetry Implementation Services is to add value to your implementation, and ultimately your use of Financials. But the strength of any services team is entirely determined by the quality of its consultants. At Symmetry, our consultants have an unrivalled depth of experience in many market sectors and of implementing financial systems for many different organisations. Mapping the business requirements

However, we fully recognise that the technical and applications stages in a software implementation are by no means the full story. To successfully implement a new financial system, it is likely to necessitate business and possibly organisational changes to ensure the full benefits of the financial solution can be realised. So, to support the process of business requirement mapping and application configuration, Symmetry Services can supply a mix of staff skilled in business, project management and technical skills all of whom have in-depth knowledge of both your business area and the application software.


Planning Assistance

In our experience good planning is one of the most important elements of a successful implementation. Once a clear and well thought out plan has been jointly developed a Symmetry project co-ordinator is put in place. Good project co-ordination will ensure that all organisations (Symmetry, the customer and any other parties involved) are fully aware of the aims, objectives and operation of the project and to ensure that all plans are subject to external review before being put into operation.

The Project Plan

When the planning of the project is complete, Symmetry will provide a set of documentation detailing the project plan and describing how the project will operate on a day-to-day basis. From then on Symmetry consultants and customer staff work together to complete the detailed tasks and ultimately achieve a successful implementation.


Consultancy

In the early stages of an implementation it is important that staff involved in the project gain knowledge of the application rapidly and in as "painless" a way as possible. Symmetry Services feel that the most effective way of achieving this is to carry out a structured series of consultancy days.

These are designed to guide the customer through the implementation and are produced to deliver a complete and cohesive package. This approach, whilst structured, remains flexible and its delivery is continuously reviewed to ensure that it meets the objectives of the implementation.


Training

Symmetry can provide formal on-site end user training in all aspects of Financials, in addition to any "training" provided during the Consultancy days.

Our training is typically instructor-led, with a mixture of formal presentation and demonstrations, followed by the opportunity for hands-on experience with practical exercises. Symmetry can also adopt a 'train the trainer' approach where the customer needs to roll the system out for departmental use. Symmetry's consultants and trainers all have practical experience in using the Oracle technology and developing and/or implementing Financials. All training workshops benefit from having 'practitioners' delivering the materials, who can draw on their experience to deliver the most in-depth knowledge possible.
